A slight digression from the elephant hide trim is the rear door card in the form of a canvas one from Exmoor Trim. They also make them for the front doors.

Some small pilot holes were drilled in the steel frame of the door and stainless steel self tapping screws fixed through the piping of the door card.

Looks quite good and one can never have enough storage in an old Land Rover 🙂

This is made from the same material used to make their excellent replacement canvas tilts and it’s reassuringly heavy 🙂


So happy to see the back on this stuff now. It has its purpose but it ain’t so pretty


20 minutes late and after some careful measuring and drilled, its fixed nice and tight.
