The original wing mirrors (so named as they are mounted on the wings, not on the doors), fixed on the new arms had a tendency to move “off view” at the slightest touch.
So, every time the cover is removed, the mirrors need to be adjusted to see what’s going on behind.
Quick easy job for a lazy Sunday afternoon….
The original mirror arms both sheered off when I remove them and the replacements are a slightly smaller diameter. To this end the ball joint cant be tightened particularly hard
Old mirrors and the new mirrors, which are huge.
Job done. A dab of copper slip on the bolt thread should ensure it doesn’t seize. Hopefully they won’t move about when the cover is pulled on and off
