I had been meaning to do this since I’d replaced the speedo.

The previous owner had kept a “log” in the form of a small label on the steering column shroud recording the mileage each time a speedo was replaced.

I’ve seen this on de-mobbed Swiss Army Land Rovers… in exactly the same location and it’s likely the owner of LGL carried this method into his civilian vehicle.

At the time the restoration started, LGL was on his 2nd clock (+2.) with an accumulated mileage of 182,870 km

The 2nd clock was replaced at 20,212 km

Meaning the new sticker on the steering column shroud reads…. “-3- 203,082” My label machine doesn’t have such exotic symbols such as + and .
